One of the 12 Jyotirlingas, Mahakaleshwar Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Known for its Bhasma Aarti, it is a major pilgrimage site in India.
This service is a grand collective ritual organized with devotion and reverence. In a regular puja, a single priest performs the ceremony. However, in this “Maha-Anushthan,” 101 Vedic Brahmins will come together at the sacred Ram Ghat in Ujjain to chant 1.25 lakh (125,000) Mahamrityunjaya mantras and perform Rudrabhishek. The spiritual energy and impact of this ritual are considered extremely powerful.
No, this is a “collective ritual” (Group Ritual). The 101 Brahmins will chant the mantras and perform the abhishek collectively on behalf of all registered yajmans (devotees). Your name and gotra will be specifically pronounced at the time of the sankalp.
Home delivery of prasad is available only with the **“Mahakal Raksha Kavach and Prasad” (₹501)** option and the **“Sampoorna Shiv Kripa Combo” (₹2100)**. For other smaller offerings (such as ₹101, ₹151, ₹201), prasad delivery is not included. The spiritual merit (punya) of these offerings will be received by you digitally.
You can participate in this puja from home through an “online sankalp.” You simply need to share your name, gotra, and location. Our learned Brahmins will take a proper sankalp in your name during the main ceremony.
According to the scriptures, chanting 1.25 lakh (125,000) Mahamrityunjaya Mantras is believed to remove the fear of untimely death, help overcome incurable diseases, and grant long life. Its significance increases manifold on the day of Mahashivratri.
